Meet Your Therapist

I'm not one of those therapists who daydreamed about becoming a therapist as a child. I was dreaming of international law and becoming a polyglot and went on to study linguistics in college. But then life threw some curveballs (trauma, anyone?) and I found myself desperate for help. Therapy was my game-changer. Therapy helped me recognize the childhood trauma I was still limping from and replace survival coping strategies with healthier ones. I had no idea there was a way to live without constant panic, social anxiety, and fear of abandonment. Once I found my way through some of that, I figured, why not help others do the same?
Fast forward to grad school, I was disappointed by the lack of coursework on the effects of trauma on the mind AND the body. (So much of my own anxiety and trauma symptoms manifested in my body!) As an effort to fill in the gap, during my final year I got trained in EMDR, a trauma therapy modality. After about a year of practicing it with clients, I realized it wasn’t delivering the results I was hoping for so I went off-roading and discovered Organic Intelligence, a trauma-informed, nervous system-based approach that felt like the missing puzzle piece. It’s complex, holistic, and much more comprehensive than what I was taught in grad school or EMDR training. I’ve been hooked ever since, and I’ve been lucky enough to offer this life-changing support to clients for the past seven years, both as a therapist and as a life coach.
I’m a lifelong student of human development, personally and professionally, and truly believe that therapy should be tailored to you. It might look like traditional talk therapy, but the way I respond to clients is rooted in how human nervous systems heal and transform. No two people are the same, and that’s what I love about this work.
I work with adult individuals and couples who are looking for more support with things like:
- anxiety & panic
- relationship dissatisfaction
- healing from childhood trauma
- spiritual integration and faith crises (aka the "Dark Night of the Soul")
- navigating tough relationship decisions (e.g., exploring non-monogamy or deciding whether to stay or go)
- love addiction & codependency
- integrating psychedelic experiences (inquire about Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy, if interested)
- exploring identity
